Formed in 1989 as the Australian Hovercraft Federation, the Association became the peak representative body for recreational hovercraft sport in Australia.
Initially it consisted individual state based organisations, but has grown to host direct branches of the single association.
The purpose of the Federation is to:
(a) promote the safe and responsible operation of Hovercraft within Australia;
(b) provide a forum for the exchange of information related to development of Hovercraft; and,
(c) promote Hovercraft related activities which are of benefit to its members.
The Australian Hovercraft Federation changed it’s name to the Australian Hovercraft Association on 14/10/2019
