Members of the Australian Hovercraft Association Inc. are expected to:
- ensure their craft is registered and carrying appropriate safety equipment
- ensure operators of their craft are licensed or legally entitled to operate their craft with a licensed person on board
- ensure their craft is in good repair and has noise levels acceptable to the general public
- not operate in a manner that could cause annoyance, noise or danger to others
- travel past waterside residences or public places at a distance and power level which minimizes noise at the shore
- where practicable, operate their craft to avoid disturbing wildlife (e.g. feeding or roosting birds)
- treat the general public with respect and communicate with them in a professional manner
- be a positive role model for the general hovercraft community
