After months of work widening a bay to accommodate it, the Canadian Vanair prototype hovercraft "Vixen 9", was at flown from its wintering ground to its new home by Reece from Melbourne.

The vid shows the arrival into the bay.
This craft has some issues that the new owner is looking forward to sorting out.

Top flying, Reece! I can see lots of experience at work when things are done well the first time.

Thanks Paul, this craft is similar in many respects to the CC4 and 5.  There are problems getting any speed let alone hump.  I was very grateful that Dave trusted me to do the job as he has no hovercraft experience at all.  I think the problem are with the skirt but as it is and will be berthed rather than landed for the foreseeable future, inspecting the skirts will be tricky.
