Cruise report - Pimpama River - Sunday 18th September 2005.

Dear Air Cushion Vehicle enthusiast,
The last cruise was on the Pimpama River on Sunday 18th September. There were 3 craft.

Angus Kerr and Olivier in a Turbo Wedge 240,
Des Goss in a Turbo Wedge 225 and
Steven Odgaard in a Bill Baker Vehicle 2.

Andrew Horsey and family visited and went for a short ride. Andrew is Peter Venn's nephew.
Bill Kaald also was taken for a slow ride in the Billy Baker. He thought the craft was a bit tame and rightly so. A small box muffler on the lift engine has dramtically reduced the noise level, but at the expense of cushion pressure.

Bill, Lin and family travelled 3 hours from Ballina NSW to see the club members set off on their monthly cruise. Bill and Lin then returned to Brisbane to join us for our planning meeting at Archerfield on Monday 19th September and Bill has now signed up as a member.
Many thanks Bill and Lin for your support and enthusiasm.

Mark and Grace Odgaard also met us at the Pimpama River but they arrived after we had returned from Jacobs Well. Mark and some of the other guests had followed Foxwell Rd through to the Coomera River boat ramp. My apologies for this mixup. It was our first time at this venue and I will try to give clearer directions next time.

Next club cruise:-
The next cruise will be at 9:00am on Sunday 9th October 2005.
Fisherman Island near the mouth of the Brisbane River.

Next Queensland branch meeting:-
7:30pm Monday 17th October 2005.
SAAA hall at Archerfield Aerodrome.
